How can You Set the Mood for a Romantic Getaway? With Sexy Lingerie of Course!

Perhaps you are planning a honeymoon for your June wedding - or a romantic getaway with your man. You want to feel sexy. First step: elegant lingerie! However, something that looks good in a catalogue may not emphasize *your* positive features.

Size yourself up in the mirror. Find something about yourself that is especially alluring. Maybe it is your silky-smooth neck, glossy hair, bedroom eyes, or shapely legs. Well-chosen lingerie will draw the eyes to your most attractive features. Your intimate apparel should make you feel like Cleopatra - sexy, alluring, and a little daring.

While checking yourself out in the mirror, determine your body type. There are four main shape classifications:

1. Pear

2. Inverted Triangle

3. Hourglass

4. Apple

Women with pear-shaped bodies often have small breasts and ample hips. If you are concerned about the size of your breasts, give them a boost with a *comfortable* push-up bra. Better yet, wear something that allows just a glimpse of your cleavage - like a keyhole teddy or a skimpy baby-doll nightie that ties at the neck and shows off your legs.

An inverted-triangle body shape often stems from a muscular upper body or large breasts. To draw attention to your breasts, try wearing a chemise with a plunging neckline, a see-through bra - or for the truly adventurous - a corset with nipple cutouts. A low-cut semi-transparent negligee will showcase your breasts while allowing tantalizing glimpses of the treasures wrapped up inside.

Women with hourglass figures are fortunate. Everything will suit you. Instead of concentrating on lingerie (which you know will look good no matter what you pack), you might want to splurge on a pedicure or tint your hair a different color just for the fun and mystery.

Apple shaped? Don't despair! Big is beautiful - and sexy! Try an internet search for 'intimate apparel for plus size women' and you will find thousands of pages to pore through. The selection is comprehensive, including everything from bridal negligees, to naughty chemises, waist-cinching corsets, baby doll ensembles and more. An added plus to internet shopping is that you can purchase without embarrassment and see how things will look by viewing photos of real plus-size lingerie models.

* Color Yourself Hot! *

Decide which colors look most attractive on you. Obtain some fabric remnants from a sewing boutique or colorful items from a thrift shop. Stand in front of the mirror and hold various colors up to your face. If you have sultry blue or green eyes, matching colors may intensify their mystique. Blondes are often flattered by muted pastel shades. Brunettes look fantastic in vibrant, deeper colors. And redheads can sizzle up their look with black teddies edged in red lace or red cinchers trimmed in black. Is your hair black? Experiment with ebony or navy blue trimmed in a color that matches your eyes.

* Getting the Right Size *

When making a lingerie purchase, you absolutely *must* obtain precise body measurements. Use a good-quality measuring tape and be honest. Don't try to squeeze into something that is meant for a 30-inch waist if you are really a 32. There is nothing 'unsexier' than the distressed facial expression caused by wearing an outfit that is 2 sizes too small. If you aren't sure of how to measure yourself correctly, try an internet search like 'how to measure for lingerie'.

* No Fraying or Rips, Please! *

If you plan to pack your existing lingerie, examine it carefully before it goes into your suitcase. Make sure that elastic still stretches. There shouldn't be any fraying or rips. Hold everything up to the light to inspect for damage. Then try it on! Your size may have changed since the last time you wore it. Finally, launder it to make sure that is clean and fresh.

* It's All in Your Head *

Silky lingerie can make you feel like a sex goddess. However, sexy is really a state of mind. A woman with confidence and a smile - who feels at peace with her body - will always be sexy no matter what she is wearing!

A Nursing Breast Is A Healthier Breast

In recent years we've learned a lot about how breastfeeding improves the health of babies. Formula feeding increases the risk of many types of diseases. Short term, formula fed babies are more likely to become ill with ear and respiratory infections and other illnesses. When they do get sick they are more seriously ill and much more likely to be hospitalized. Long term, formula fed infants are more likely to suffer from diabetes, obesity, asthma, Crohn's disease, and other ailments.

Interestingly, a lot of research points to numerous ways that breastfeeding impacts Mom's health. Let's look at just one of these findings.

A Lactating Breast is a Healthier Breast

Numerous studies have shown that breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer. This is due in part to hormonal factors: nursing moms go without ovulating for longer periods of time than women who don't breastfeed. There is a connection between the number of times a woman has an ovulatory cycle in her lifetime and the likelihood of her contracting breast cancer. Breastfeeding also completes the normal fertility cycle of conception, pregnancy and lactation.

Additionally, the act of suckling itself plays a role. One native culture that traditionally only nursed on one breast had fewer incidences of cancer in the lactating breast. This makes perfect sense when you think about it: a body organ that is used the way it's designed to be used is healthier than tissue that isn't used. If you decided to sit in a wheelchair instead of using your legs to walk, what do you suppose would happen to your legs? They would eventually atrophy and become diseased.

Additionally, the longer a woman breastfeeds, the greater the protection offered against cancer. Scientists find that the more months a woman has spent nursing, the lower her risk of contracting breast cancer... great incentive to listen to the World Health Organization's advice to nurse for two years or more!

Interestingly, breastfeeding lowers the *babies* rate of breast cancer! While science is still trying to figure out exactly why this is so, one theory is that exposure to Mom's estrogen via breastmilk immunizes baby to estrogen later in life. Also, the immune factors present in mom's milk likely play a role in strengthening resistance to disease, even to a disease like cancer.

Who knows what else the scientific community will discover about the magic of mom's milk?

Letter from a Property Investor

As I survey the property world scene, it seems that those areas with dynamic growth have equal potential risk attached to them. I?ve decided to avoid much of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet satellites. Bulgaria does not have such a good climate and there is only a limited number of resorts that have skiing to provide two seasons of tourism. Accessibility and infrastructure have a long way to go before they can support the tourist expansion that now seems inevitable with all the development going on. I have my doubts that renters and holiday-makers in sufficient numbers will be choosing Bulgaria to fill all the property construction currently underway.

Although there?s no denying the boom going on I prefer to avoid anywhere with even a hint of political risk. With current upheavals in the Middle East I?ve decided to avoid Dubai and the Emirates even though they?re remote from anything going on at the moment ? who knows what the future may hold.

Spain is overshadowed by the new land grab regulations. Only recently there were many more arrests of those involved in the planning scandals, the impact of which is still to be felt by many overseas property owners who have made Spain their home.

Having recently returned from Barbados and St. Lucia I must say I like this area of the world for my next investment. It?s both politically and economically stable and appeals to both the European and US markets. Properties are sold in US$ and Americans are increasingly making the Caribbean their destination of choice as it?s close to home and has a year round good climate. The recent appreciation of Sterling to the dollar is a nice bonus.

St. Lucia has been voted one of the world?s most beautiful islands by Conde Nast magazine. The description did not disappoint when I saw it for myself. With its vast rain-forest, white sandy beaches and the World Heritage Pitons, it justifies its description as one of the loveliest of the Caribbean islands. Property prices are well below neighbouring Barbados and there are several very interesting opportunities just launched and available off-plan. I chose a 2-bed apartment at The Landings in Rodney Bay. It?s a great new marina, which has just started construction. It?s similar in concept and has the same builder as Port St. Charles in Barbados, a sell-out 220 unit marina development but, The Landings is some 40% cheaper.

I?ve bought my apartment with the furniture package and it will be included in the rental pool. This guarantees me an income of a minimum of 6% p.a., for the first 2 years. Afterwards, my apartment participates in a pool of income generated by all the rental properties to ensure each owner a fair share. Owners can use their property for up to 12 weeks a year during which time they do not participate in the rental pool. This is a great way of owning a holiday property as it provides flexibility as to how often I use it, it generate a good income when I am not using it and I have none of the usual running costs to pay as, all of these are paid out of the rental pool. Added to that, its hassle-free as The Landings is run like a hotel with concierge and all the other 5* services one would expect. All of which is available to me when I am in residence.

The development team have a good deal of experience in both construction and resort management in St. Lucia. This may not boast some of the spectacular returns I?ve seen touted elsewhere but I feel I?m in safe hands and if the gains are more modest they look more secure. That will do me fine.

Look for future editions of my property investor newsletter, which I hope, will enable readers to benefit from my experience.

Know The Pieces In Your Backgammon Set

When you are shopping for a backgammon set, it is important to know what to look for. No two backgammon sets are the same, unless they are made that way purposely, such as by the same manufacturer. Some are fancy and some are plain. Some are cheaper than others and some can be really expensive. It all depends on what you are looking for.

What is great about a backgammon set is that the board doubles as a case to carry the different pieces. The board itself can be made of several different types of materials such as magnetic, vinyl, plastic, leather, aluminum, and wood. Some backgammon sets come included in certain pieces of furniture such as an ottoman or end table. Other sets are very small with magnetic pieces for travel. With backgammon, there is something to suit every taste and a set for everyone.

Because backgammon sets vary so greatly in sizes, shapes, and materials, you can expect to pay between twenty and one-thousand dollars for a set, it all depends on how fancy or plain you want to get. Within the backgammon set itself, you will find a variety of different pieces. Again, these pieces can be made of a variety of different materials such as wood or plastic. Depending you your budget, you can buy sets that are made from the finest materials. If you are really hooked on the game, having a nice expensive set can help add to the experience of playing.

Each backgammon set comes with thirty backgammon chips. Fifteen white and fifteen black chips. Of course, this could vary as well, depending on the manufacturer; they can be of different colors such as two different shades of brown. The chips are typically made from a heavy type of plastic that feels rather nice to the touch and makes handling the pieces fun, but they can also be made from wood and other materials. Typically, most backgammon sets come with two shakers as well, one for each player. They may be of the same color or of two different colors. They too may be made out of different materials, such as wood, plastic, or even leather.

Dice are also standard with a backgammon set. This could mean two dice, which the players would have to share, or four, in which each player would have their own set. Another standard in a backgammon set is the doubling cube. The doubling cube is a six sided dice, which has the numbers 2, 4, 18, 16, 32, and 64. However, most people playing for fun avoid using the doubling cube. The doubling cube generally only comes into play when money is at stake.

So there you have it. Now you have a good idea of what pieces are involved in a backgammon set.

Foot Care For Backpackers And Hikers

Proper foot care is a must for hikers and backpackers. You can be in perfect health in every other way and have a few blisters turn a nice backpacking trip into a survival situation. Here are some suggestions on how to avoid foot problems when hiking, and then some tips on dealing with the problems if they do occur.

Foot Care - Preventing Problems

- Have extra clean dry socks. Wash a pair in a stream if necessary. Hang them from your pack to dry.

- Air out your feet. Stop at least every couple hours and take off your shoes to let your feet cool.

- Treat hot spots. Don't let hot areas on your feet develop into blisters - treat them early.

- No hiking boots (unless you need ankle support). Running shoes are less likely to cause blisters.

- Know your limits. Don't keep hiking once your feet are getting too sore.

- Tighten laces near your ankles when going downhill, to prevent your toes from jamming against the front of the shoes.

Common Foot Care

Blisters should be treated as early as possible. Use moleskin (or duct tape if you have nothing better), and cut a hole for the blister to rest in, to avoid pressure on it. If it must be popped, do so with a sterilized needle at the base of the blister.

Black toe is a toenail that has blood trapped underneath. It happens when the nail is continually hitting the front of your hiking boot or rubbing on the top. Try to correct the cause (tighten laces by ankle on downhill stretches). If the nail isn't painful or loose, you can leave it alone. Otherwise trim the nail, and wrap it with a bandage or duct tape.

Ingrown toenails happen from a bad nail-cutting job or tight boots. The nail edge grows into the flesh. This can be very painful. Soak the toe in salty warm water for about ten minutes, then work the flesh back so you can cut the corner of the nail. For best results, you can also tuck a bit of cotton or toilet paper covered in antibacterial cream under the inflamed flesh (change daily).

Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation and stretching of the tissue that connects your heel to your toes (the plantar fascia). You feel pain in the foot on the first steps after resting, or in the morning. To treat this on the trail, soak your feet in a cold stream for a while. Insoles with arch support and custom orthotics can help prevent this, if it is a recurring problem.

Calluses are just thick and hard patches of skin. Corns are just calluses on the bony parts of the toes. They are caused by continual friction. If they become painful, you can use a nail file or knife to carefully file away the thickness and roughness.

Try to prevent foot injuries and problems when possible, but be prepared for them anyhow. Carry moleskin and antibiotic cream, for example. You should also try to remember the basic foot care for the common conditions listed above.

Nursery Decoration Is Fun

If you have a new baby on the way then decorating the nursery is key to prepare for your baby?s arrival. You?ll want to decide on a budget and then take an inventory of everything you need for your nursery. You?ll need furniture such as a crib, lighting for the room, paint for the walls, pictures to go up, bedding for the crib, and shades or drapes to cover the windows. You?ll probably be focused first and foremost on the crib. If you don?t have a lot of money to spend then try to find your furniture on the cheap.

You can go to thrift stores or flea markets to find furniture. You could also ask around to your family and friends for any baby furniture they may have for you to use. You can get a great crib at a garage sale too. You should also look at large retailers like Walmart or Target for a good crib. You can save a lot of money shopping at a big store like this. You should look at furniture by Graco, Century, or Bassett Baby Furniture if you want to save money on baby furniture. You can get a lot of decorating help if you go to a Bassett store for your furniture needs.

You can also consider buying Baby Dream Furniture if you have a tight budget to work with. They have a great selection of furniture to choose from and you find it in over 300 stores all over the US. If you want a more refined and elegant look than discover Pali. Pali is an Italian brand that makes lovely baby furniture that would look great in any nursery. Pali offers baby furniture in a wide array of classic looks and their furniture is very comfortable for babies and small children to use.

Another great brand to try out is Delta Baby Furniture which combines a great look with high quality. Their products last for many years and you can pass them on to your grandkids to use! You will want to buy their products if you want something really durable. They have bassinets, changing tables, toddler beds, strollers/walkers, and portable cribs. The Jardine baby furniture company can give you a great assortment of rocking chairs, toddler beds, and tables to choose from. They have great products and good prices.

Once you have your furniture all sorted then you can decorate your nursery as you wish. Do the furniture part first and then work on the walls and the wall hangings. You?ll want to have the furniture selected before you choose the d?cor since it is the most important part of the room.
